CenturyLink :: Voice and Ethernet Upgrade
Keenwire completes the first phase of a CenturyLink ethernet and voice upgrade in remote Central Oregon, replacing antiquated systems with new technology enabling digital voice and middle-mile data. The foundation of the voice system is capable of providing last mile broadband to remote residents.
Nisqually Tribe :: EBS License for Broadband
Keenwire achieves a new EBS (Educational Broadband Service) 2.5GHz license for the Nisqually Tribe in Western Washington State. This will enable a Tribal Government WiMAX deployment over the geographically isolated reservation for last mile broadband, while enabling mobile government services and public safety.
Quinault Tribe :: Broadband Plan
Keenwire completes broadband plan for Quinault Indian Nation in Western Washington State. The broadband plan has already incentivized incumbent investment, created action on urgent needs and provided solid foundations for FY12 grant applications.
Broadband Stimulus :: $85 Million in Awards
Keenwire authored three award-winning broadband stimulus grants for a total of $85 million. These projects are working to deliver middle mile infrastructure in all three areas of economic concern in Florida (30 counties) and last mile to 50 remote villages in Southwest Alaska.
